These reflections are very personal…snapshots taken through a window into my world. I don’t spend time reading various interpretations of the gospels. I find some quiet time, read through the words and then sit for a while waiting for them to take root. The first idea that comes into my head is the one I go with. I don’t try to analyse it and figure out whether or not it’s the ‘right’ one. The words resonate differently with each of us. That’s the beauty of having your own hotline to heaven. You hear what you need to hear.
I then write up what comes into my head – it’s usually stream of consciousness stuff with some very minor editing done to tie it all together. Now comes the fun part – recording it. I do that here in my office in Budapest. My friend Gretchen comes by with her recording equipment and we run through a few takes and then settle on the one we like most – the one you get to hear. The podcast and the text are uploaded every Saturday. And from there, it’s over to you to enjoy, to comment, to forward, to think about… whatever it is you decide to do.
